Nice Cheesy blog!  

When I lived in Switzerland my host family did raclette in a similar way- melting it in a pan and pouring it over the boiled potatoes on your plate.  YUM.  We also used to go on ski tours up to an alpine hut, start an open fire, then toast bread and put the hunk o raclette cheese on a rock in front of the fire... When the face starts to bubble, voila, scrape it onto your bread.  eat, sip some wine, then go skiing.  (They really have it figured out.  )</description>
